The first Chapter of the Mexican American Golf Association was incorporated in Fresno, California on August 1963. Arizona and Texas were chartered as Independent State Associations in 1977.
The Phoenix Chapter is a non-profit organization promoting competitive golf to raise money for contributions to local charities and scholarships.
Membership is open to everyone. We host tournaments monthly throughout the Phoenix area and also host a family outing for our Club Championship. On a rotational basis, California, Arizona and Texas each sponsor the Western Regional Tournament usually held during the Memorial Day weekend. MAGA is administered by elected officers and board members. Elections are held in the fourth quarter every two years. Meetings are held quarterly and are open to all members.
